Terms And Privacy Statement

The following terms and conditions are posted to ensure there is no ambiguity regarding any part of our site. They are not set in stone and we may revise or update them as we see fit. When placing an order with our site you are agreeing to accept these terms and conditions - they are here for your benefit, and ours.

Placing An Order

All purchases can be made securely online 24 hours a day at personalbabygifts.co.uk. We are a UK store and at present deliver only to the Uk.

Card Security

Your security is very important to us. Your card details are encrypted and dealt with by Paypal and are not accessible by anyone at Personal Baby Gifts. You will receive an e-mail receipt from Paypal and e-mail confirmation from us of your order.

Pricing And VAT

Prices are inclusive of VAT at 20% where applicable.

Delivery Schedule

We provide an estimated delivery time for every gift on our site, and in most cases these delivery targets are met. All goods are usually disptached or delivered within 4-7 working days by standard Royal Mail. However, all our gifts are personalised and sometimes unexpected problems may arise. Seasonal events like Christmas and Easter may also affect the dispatch and delivery times, or in extreme cases disputes by Royal Mail. For this reason we ask that in all cases you allow up to 14 days for delivery from the date of dispatch, although this is not a guarantee of delivery itself. Overseas deliveries may take up to 21 days.

We also get very busy in May and June with First Holy Communions, so please allow for extra time, or use our express delivery option.

All items are delivered via Royal Mail, and customers must allow 14 days from dispatch before an item is considered lost. Special Deliveries have their own tracking code so should your order not arrive the following day, please contact us.

We would ask you to please note that multiple orders may arrive seperately as each item is packaged and sent when completed. Delivery in most cases is by second class post.

Please note that express delivery charges do not cover the cost of postage. All postage is free of charge. This is a premium charge for a premium service. Typical dispatch times for products where express delivery is offered is 4-7 working days, with delivery time on top. Selecting express delivery ensures that the product is engraved and dispatched the same day, within the stated guidelines. If you select express delivery for more than one product, you will still be charged a premium for each product, even should they arrive in one package.

Royal Mail guarantee next day delivery - we do not. We have no control over Royal Mail deliveries. We simply quote Royal Mail delivery information for the service you have selected. All deliveries on our website are free of charge. Should we fail to dispatch an item within the stated guidelnes of our next day delivery service, we will be happy to refund you the cost of the premium charge.

Royal Mail reserve the right to alter their terms and conditions with regard to their guaranteed next day delivery service. This is usually as a result of severe weather conditions, transport problems or strike action. We cannot be held responsible for such action, and orders made using this service are not refundable under any circumstances. Orders placed using the Express Delivery option will still be made (and dispatched where possible) the same day.

Postage And Packaging

All our prices are inclusive of postage and packaging for deliveries to the UK. We have no hidden costs on our site. Post in most circumstances is by 2nd class Royal Mail.

Returns Policy

We want you to be satisfied with anything you purchase. If you receive a faulty, incorrect or damaged gift just let us know and we will arrange a replacement. We do not offer refunds on such items.

Please do not return an item unless first contacting us, as you will not be refunded the cost for doing so.

Unfortunately, unless faulty, incorrect or damaged on delivery, we cannot accept returns of personalised items since they have no re-sale value. If we have made a mistake with your order, we will have your order remade on the condition that you return the original order to us first so that we can examine it. It is your responsibility to return the item to us at your own cost, and if proven faulty, incorrect or damaged then we will refund you the cost of postage. If any part of your order is missing, just let us know and we will send replacements out immediately.

Should your order fail to arrive within 14 days from dispatch, we will have the order remade. We do not offer refunds on non-delivered items. All orders will be considered fulfilled if we do not hear from you within 21 days of your order being dispatched.

Please ensure that you have provided us with the correct details (eg names/dates etc) as we cannot be held responsible for mistakes, spelling or otherwise, once the item has been personalised. You are responsible for all spelling and grammar contained within your order.

Privacy Policy

We conform to the requirements of the Data Protection Act, 1998 and we are committed to protecting your privacy and take your privacy and the security of your personal information extremely seriously. We will never divulge any personal information you give us to a third party, other than personalisation information needed by our suppliers to fulfill your order. We do not send random marketing emails to personal email addresses (spam).

Cookies

A cookie is a small file placed on a user's hard drive which tracks website navigation. An example of a cookie in use would be entering your purchase details once (name, address etc) and not having to continually re-enter such details on subsequent visits. We may use cookies on certain parts of our site to keep track of your order. We may also use cookies to collect user statistics such as browser type and screen resolution. This helps us to ensure that our site is completely compatible to the majority of our customers.

Legal requirements

While we take all possible care to reproduce and describe items accurately, in some cases slight variations of colour in actual goods may occur due to photographic limitations. In the rare event that a price shown on our website is incorrect we reserve the right to refund any purchase made against this price and to ammend our website accordingly.
